Todd Hartsell is an award-winning filmmaker and visual storyteller whose work spans documentary-style brand storytelling, industrial and technical environments, streaming media, and narrative film. With more than two decades of experience across broadcast, corporate, and field production, Todd brings a director’s eye, an editor’s precision, and a vérité-driven approach to capturing authentic human moments.

Whether documenting engineers inside manufacturing facilities, producing content in fast-moving operational environments, or crafting emotionally grounded narrative films, his work is rooted in cinematic realism, curiosity, and human connection.

Driven by the same curiosity he shared with his father while watching old movies together, Todd’s passion for storytelling has evolved into a distinct visual voice—intimate, cinematic, and emotionally true. Through his production company, Poor Polly Productions, he continues to bridge craft and heart, most recently collaborating with Jeff LaGrone on the acclaimed short narrative film Sundown.
